A current, valid Roselle Public Library card is required to borrow materials from the Roselle Public Library. Roselle Public Library will also lend materials to any patron holding a valid library card from an Illinois public library that participates in reciprocal borrowing.
Get a Library Card
Every resident of the Roselle Library District is eligible for a Roselle Library card.
Residents can now apply online for a temporary library card number that can be used immediately to access the Library's online resources and premium databases!
Temporary library card numbers expire in 7 days and cannot be renewed. Come in to the Library within 7 days to obtain a permanent library card.
A resident library card is permanent and updated every three years.
Your library card is to be presented when checking out material.
Treat your library card like a credit card - it is valuable - report lost cards to the Llibrary immediately. A Photo ID is required to reinstate lost ibrary cards. There is a $2.00 replacement fee for lost or damaged cards.
Roselle Library cards in good standing are welcome at most libraries in the state of Illinois.

Most items go out for three weeks.
One-week loans include: Adult new fiction, Magazines, DVDs, Video games and Juvenile CD-ROMs.
Popular DVDs in the QuickPick DVD collection (and holiday DVDs during holiday seasons) circulate for 3 days.
Renewals: Items not on reserve can be renewed for the length of the original check out period, with a limit of one renewal per item.
Reserves: Items owned by the Library but currently not available may be placed on hold by Library cardholders in person, over the phone, or via the Internet.

A Book Drop Return is located to the right of the main entrance of the library. This may be used 24 hours a day for all materials.
Late fees are charged at 10 cents per item per day overdue for most items. DVDs and videogames are charged at $1.00 per day, per item. Overdue notices are sent for items overdue 8 days and 16 days. Borrowing privileges will be blocked if late fees equal $5.00 or more, until the late fees are paid. Patrons will be billed for items not returned. If an item is not returned in 59 days, the item is considered lost and full replacement cost, plus a processing fee, is charged to the patron.
