Technical Services Assistant
Part-time position (22 hrs per week)

Compensation starting at $10.32 per hour

Roselle Public Library District is looking for a hands-on person to work in the Technical Services Department. The ideal candidate enjoys using creativity and energy to process new material, repair damaged items and to repackage items that are not appropriate for the collection as received. The Technical Services Assistant unpacks boxes and uses the computer to transmit orders, create invoices and post items received/paid. Responsibilities also include preparing magazines and newspapers for use by patrons and managing the periodical subscriptions online. Attention to detail is important. The candidate must be physically able to lift and move quantities of books and other Library materials and push loaded books carts.

If you like working behind the scenes, enjoy using your hands and your creativity, and you’re comfortable with computers and office machines, this could be your ideal job.
