Public Services Assistant

The Roselle Public Library District seeks a part-time Public Services Assistant to work an average of 15 hours per week, primarily evening and weekend hours. This position pays $14.48 per hour. This is a paraprofessional position in the Reference and Adult Services Department. This position deals directly with the public in computer use, bibliographic instruction, and basic ready reference along with registering new patrons and renewing existing patrons. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting computers, printers, and other library equipment.

Minimum qualifications are two years of college, LTA and two years of college preferred. Also required is a minimum of two years appropriate work experience in a public contact position and knowledge of PC hardware, software and bibliographic databases including the Internet.

Graphic Artist/Marketing Coordinator

Are you creative? Do you like to design posters and other publicity materials? The Roselle Public Library District is looking for a Graphic Artist/Marketing Coordinator with experience in current graphic software including Adobe, In Design, Photoshop, and Publisher. The Graphic Artist /Marketing Coordinator position at Roselle Public Library is a part-time position with a total of 20 hours per week. Responsibilities include design, preparation for printing, and timely delivery to the printer of the quarterly Library newsletter- Library Lights, organizing public relations/marketing projects, and assisting with the Library website. The Graphic Artist/ Marketing Coordinator creates promotional materials such as posters, brochures, press releases, and bookmarks to highlight Library events.

We are looking for a Graphic Artist/Marketing Coordinator who is able to work independently, yet gets along well with others, has the ability to meet deadlines, and is able to produce visually appealing finished products. Minimum qualifications include two years of Community College with Graphic Arts/Marketing coursework with specialized training in the use of computer software, knowledge of In Design, Microsoft Word, Publisher, and other relevant software. Bachelor degree in Marketing, Public Relations, preferred. At least one year of general work experience. Imagination and creativity required. Salary range begins at $14.48 per hour, depending on qualifications. This position has limited benefits - prorated holiday, sick hours, and vacation hours after a waiting period. This is also an IMRF qualifying position.
