POSITION AVAILABLE

Youth Services Librarian/Assistant-Outreach
Part-time position (25 hrs per week)
The minimum salary is $19.75 per hour depending on qualifications.

The Roselle Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, creative and team-oriented Outreach Assistant for the Youth Services Department.

The successful candidate has great people skills and a dedication to providing outreach services to local schools and daycares, for special library events and appearances at community functions. The ability to use social media to enhance Outreach Services are a plus for this position.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with library training (may include coursework leading to a MLIS) with a minimum of one-year experience in a Youth Services Department of a public library. Possession of a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited library education program is preferred.

Highly flexible work schedule including regularly scheduled evening and weekend hours.

This position offers IMRF benefits and pro-rated holidays. After a waiting period this position offers paid vacation and sick hours.
